Flavour Your Water With Apples, Cucumber And Lime!
For National Nutrition Awareness Week, we take a look at how to increase our water intake through a refreshing flavoured water recipe. Though water is amazing at its purest, there is no harm in adding a few natural flavourings to amp up the deliciousness and expand our nutrient intake.
Lime slices and juice add a tart freshness while mint lends a slightly tingly sensation that immediately cools you down. We also added in green apple and cucumber slices which intensifies the crispness of the drink. You are not even going to realise that you are enjoying a tall glass of water.
APPLE-MINT FLAVOURED WATER

Yields: 1 Serving
Total Time: 5 mins
- 12 ounces Highland Spring Water
- 4 thin slices green apple
- 5 slices cucumber
- 6 fresh mint leaves
- 3 slices lime Ice
- In a tall glass, add all ingredients except water. Using the back of a spoon crush the ingredients. This step is optional. You can leave the ingredients whole.
- Add water to a glass and mix vigorously.
- Add ice cubes and serve.
