Local Restaurants Committed to Feeding Children During Coronavirus School Closures

This morning, the honourable Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley’s addressed the nation in a news conference regarding further spread. Then, he announced new regulations: borders are closed to non-nationals for 14 days, bars must remain shut, gatherings of more than 25 are banned and all school’s out until April 30. Even though it’s in our best interests, that brought a sense of worry to some parents.

Experts agree that school closures will play a prominent role in limiting the transmission of coronavirus but that impacts communities and families that rely heavily on schools for services like free breakfast and lunch (aka a good ole box lunch). Times are financially hard for the entire world with this pandemic on the loose, but local restaurants are playing hero on our island ensuring that no child goes hungry.

Here are some free deals being offered to students right now while stocks last. (And we will keep updating with more as they pop up on our feeds.)
